I mean, is it true? I haven't bought Fifa09 yet, but some friends of mine already told me that it's a bitter dissapointment, there aren't any new leagues (not to mention they still kept ridiculous leagues such as the Korean, Mexican, Irish, North American... and WHO plays them anyway?), and by the way, WHEN are we gonna be able to play (really) important leagues such as the Russian (not even with Zenit winning the UEFA Cup and European SuperCup?) or the Ukranian or the Greek leagues? In addition to this, the amount of teams from the "rest of the world" is nothing but a joke... So, a part from the (obvious) gameplay evolutions/updates, there really isn't anything new in the game! This is a sort of Fifa08 undercover, pathetic...
Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE fan of the Fifa series, but I've had it, I mean, wouldn't it be better if they (EA) would just drop some of those stupid leagues (that no one really plays anyway), keep the real important one's and license only the best teams from all the other European leagues, so we could, for example, create our very own Champions League tournaments?
One thing's for shure, It would be a lot cheaper than getting the licenses to all those leagues.
