With a little over two weeks left to the start of the Premiership season time is ticking for clubs to sign new players. Here are a few stories that have happened this week and a few which may happen soon.
The yawn section - the rumours that keep on rumbling

!! Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo is suppose to tell Sir Alex this week that he want's to go Real Madrid. As if Sir Alex hadn't of guessed by now with all the media speculation we have had all summer.

!! Gareth Barry's move from Aston Villa to Liverpool is off because Liverpool missed the deadline set by Villa. However Barry believes Villa will accept a restructured offer for around £19m.

!! Andrei Arshavin's is still desperate to leave Russia but his club Zenit St Petersburg want £24 million not the £16 million that Tottenham have offered.

have signed Portugal under-21 star Amaury Bischoff from Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee Robbie Keane joined the club he supported as a boy, Liverpool from Tottenham for £20.3m David Bentley has moved to Tottenham from Blackburn for £15m possibly rising to £17m (no wonder St Petersburg want more than £16m for Arshavin!) England's goalkeeper Paul Robinson has joined Blackburn for £3.5m from Tottenham Roy Keane has been busy signing players for Sunderland with El Hadji Diouf from Bolton and Steed Malbranque from Tottenham joining the Wearsiders Fulham have signed Swedish defender *** Stoor from Rosenborg Joey Barton has been charged by the FA with violent conduct after admitting his assault on then Manchester City team-mate Ousmane Dabo.
