Hello, on  my third day here at the EA studios I had the chance to play the entire day. Well the first thing I did was a podcast  with the both Xbox 360 and PS3 and the PC producers. I spoke a little about myself and about my experience here in Vancouver and then I talked about my thoughts of the new game. It was a great experience to be part of these podcast. Then the producers responded to many of the community questions.

After that I spent many hours playing FIFA on PC, the game is absolutely fun and with the new graphics engine it’s the perfect choice for all the soccer fans. I had the chance to play with the FIFA PC team and we had some very interesting games, I remember a game it was Mexico against Russia and I lost 5-4, it was such an exciting game.

Now that I get the chance to play the game for more time I could see all the new tricks that you can do in the game, there are more faster and they work really well on the pitch, also you have a great list of skill moves that you can do, the new ones are that you can flip the ball over your head and you can do the rainbow, and the 360 spin works much better, and all these tricks can help you to make a fancy play. For me in FIFA 08 the skill moves were very slow and you could lose the ball really quickly. The body collisions is also new stuff and you have to think twice before you hit another player because the referee may call a fault against you.  

I also had the chance to try the new mouse and keyboard controls, and I think this is a very interactive way of playing FIFA because you can aim the exact point where you want the ball to go and also you can send a player to run for the space to very different parts of the field, and you cannot do that with a gamepad, I think for the people that are used to playing with the keyboard this will be a very different and fun experience. I Also had the chance to play FIFA on the PS2, the graphic engine is not as good as FIFA PC, its similar to FIFA 08. The gameplay  feels good and free, the balls has his own place in the game and that gives a lot of different reactions all the time. You also have manual trough balls and crosses and the keeper is good and in World Class its really hard to score. The players have new reactions and also collisions are new in the game.

When we came back I spend the rest of the day playing on PS3 against the computer in world class, it’s really a challenge to beat the CPU because they never make mistakes so you have to be very patient I think that’s the secret to beat them. I realize that corners are very difficult to score and that you be very careful about how you move your defense because a little mistake can be a goal against your team. Also the referees are more fair, so if you are one of the players who like to make a lot of slides and hit your opponent you better think twice or you can get more than one red card in a game. It would be great if the goalkeeper could get a red card like in the PC game, I hope to see that in the future. I promised to talk about the custom tactics but I think is good to talk about it in my next blog where from the EA studios in Vancouver.
