Today was my fourth and last day here at the EA Studios in Vancouver, today was a really fun day for me, the first thing on the agenda was a meeting with Gary Paterson and with Aaron McHardy who are the gameplay producers behind FIFA 09, they told me about all the new stuff in this FIFA such as the new collision system that now it all depends on the strength and the body of the players, also the headers are all about position and body of the players, the players also has new animations in the headers . Now there are many new skill moves, also the players receive the ball depending where the ball is going to go so that gives them speed to keep the play going on without stopping, the keeper reactions are better and it’s not that easy to score a goal now. After this meeting, it was time to see the new skill moves thanks to Kantcho Doskov and they look awesome.

There are a lot of new moves and they look very fancy in the game. Some of the ones is the fake rabona that you can use when you are about to make a cross, something that looks great is when you are juggling with the ball you can put the ball in the air and then control it with your chest, it’s hard to do it but it looks awesome. Also new is the triple elastic and the fancy rainbow. There are many new tricks so I recommend you to spend some time in the arena to get along with them.

After this fun skills demonstration, I had the chance to talk with John Gallina who makes the Manager Mode in this FIFA 09, it has 15 seasons and you can manage any team you like and grow up with them or be hired by a best club. Also the lounge mode it’s great to keep all your record against your friends or the CPU, this mode it’s not new but now it’s more interactive and easy to use. After the meeting I had the chance to play a 10 vs. 10 match of be a pro, and it’s just amazing I had the chance to score a goal in the game but at the end we lost the match, is incredibly funny.  

After this I played with the best QA members for the game. Their job is to play the game a lot of times to see the bugs and the mistakes of the game so they can fix it before the game it’s in the stores. I had great games and I ended undefeated, many of the FIFA team stopped to see the games. After these games I had the chance to play with the producer David Rutter who it’s a very skilled FIFA player, it was the most difficult game for me this afternoon but I keep the game for my side at extra times by 2-1, but David almost draw the game at the 120 minute.

Today I also had the chance to talk with Jorge Bravo, he is also a Club America fan!!!! It’s great that a Mexican is working on the FIFA 09 production team. Well this was my last day here at the EA Studios, and I promised you a Custom Tactics ***** but this is not my last blog so ill keep it for the end. I want to thanks EA again for the invitation, especially to Clive Gorman and Marcus Stephenson, and also thanks to the FIFA team that were very nice to me.
