OK, so far in our analysis of the Battle of the Nations leaderboards we’ve looked at the overall results and we’ve examined France’s results, but of course all of those points came from the efforts of individual gamers. So let’s take some time out to look at how they did it…
Remember, one player does not make a team, but one player can make a good team great ;)
Most of the players in the Overall leaderboards top tens played in more than one mode – but no one won them all – proving that you need to specialise in your play style to be the very best ;)
On the PS3, chili243 (playing as Sweden) came in at number one, nearly 8,000 overall points ahead of rm08 in the second spot.
On the Xbox 360, Carhonte (Spain), seiya333 (Spain) and SANTIAGS (France) took the top three spots with very close overall points, just under 5,500 points splitting first from third. They were all at least 10,000 points ahead of the next best placed player, in the form of MembroAssassino.
Let’s have a look at the guys in the number one spots.
Carhonte, playing on the Xbox360 got over 35,000 points overall and chili243, on the PS3, got nearly 41,000 points overall, so there wasn’t a massive difference between them. Well played guys.
chili243 – #1 on Overall PS3 board
chili243 topped the overall PS3 board as well as achieving the top spot on the Kick Off (Be a Pro), Kick Off (Team) and UEFA EURO 2008 leaderboards. A very consistent performance.
chili243 played as Sweden, who were not a common choice when you look across the tables. It’s particularly impressive he stuck with it even after his team went out of the real world tournament and carried on to take the top spot.
Carhonte – #1 on Overall Xbox 360 board
Carhonte got to the top of the Overall 360 leaderboard by coming first on the Kick Off (Be a Pro) and Kick Off (Team) leaderboards. He only just missed the top spot on the UEFA EURO 2008 leaderboard – losing out to SANTIAGS – who came out 3rd on the Overall Leaderboard. He also got into the Top Ten on the Captain Your Country leaderboard.
Carhonte played as Spain so perhaps he was driven by his team’s real life success to keep on playing and to do so well.
Here’s a breakdown of all the number one players in every mode:
PS3
Kick Off (Team) chili243 (Sweden) 15,431 points
Kick Off (Be a Pro) chili243 15,315
UEFA Euro 2008™ chili243 10,239
